As part of efforts to reinforce cooperation between the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (NESEC) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), Professor Mohamed BOUKHARI, President of NESEC, hosted a delegation from ESCWA on Wednesday, June 25th, 2025, at the Council’s headquarters. The delegation was led by Mr Karim KHALIL, ESCWA’s Deputy Executive Secretary and included an expert from the organization’s Technical Cooperation Unit. A representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also took part in this strategic meeting.

The official visit took place on the sidelines of the Arab Forum on Equality, held in Algeria on the 24th and 25th of June in coordination with ESCWA.

The meeting, which convened senior officials from both institutions, aimed to explore ways to expedite the implementation of technical cooperation projects already agreed upon with the NESEC. A detailed work programme for the next six months was drawn up to advance these joint projects effectively and to identify new areas for collaboration.
