As part of the World Environment Day Celebration, held annually on the 5th of June, the President of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (NESEC), Professor Mohamed BOUKHARI, participated on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, in the educational awareness campaign launched by the Minister of Environment and Quality of Life, Madame Nadjiba DJILALI. The event, held under the theme “Combating Plastic Waste,” took place at “La Source Family Park” in the Bourouba district of Algiers. 

This participation underscores NESEC’s unwavering commitment to national efforts aimed at fostering an environmental culture and enhancing collective awareness of the challenges posed by plastic waste. It also reflects a participatory, integrated approach that brings together all relevant actors—including civil society, public institutions and the private sector.
