On 23 July 2025, at the headquarters of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (NESEC), Professor Mohamed Boukhari, President of the Council, received Ms. Hassiba Sayeh, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization’s (UNIDO) Representative in Algeria.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on ongoing projects within the framework of the cooperation programme for sustainable development, in areas within the scope of UNIDO’s mandate. Several initiatives with potential for future collaboration were also discussed, particularly through the support of the United Nations Industrial Development Programme.

The UNIDO representative expressed her interest in the Council’s missions carried out within its areas of competence, and reaffirmed her support for strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.
