On Thursday, the 24th of July 2025, the President of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council, Professor Mohamed Boukhari, received the Head of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Office in Algeria, Mrs. Faiza Bendris.

The meeting provided an opportunity to examine prospects for strengthening cooperation between the two institutions and to exchange views on potential areas of collaboration. Several themes of mutual interest were identified, which could serve as key pillars for future partnerships.

Both parties expressed their satisfaction with the significant convergence between the priorities put forward by the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council and those adopted by the United Nations Population Fund, thereby laying the groundwork for fruitful cooperation in support of sustainable human development in Algeria.
