As part of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council’s mandate on sustainable development and environmental protection, and at the kind invitation of Ms. Kaoutar KRIKOU, Minister of the Environment and Quality of Life, Professor Mohamed BOUKHARI, President of NESEC, attended on Thursday, 13 November 2025, the official opening ceremony of the 9th edition of the International Exhibition on Waste Recovery and Valorization (REVADE 2025). The event is being held at the Palais des Expositions, Pins Maritimes, under the theme: “Valorizing Resources in Africa… Perspectives for Sustainable Development.”

The NESEC is also participating as an institutional exhibitor, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to supporting national efforts aimed at promoting a comprehensive and sustainable development model. This model places environmental protection and the valorization of natural resources as strategic levers and essential pillars for establishing balanced, inclusive, and harmonious development, aligned with global dynamics and requirements. In this regard, the transition to a sustainable circular economy constitutes one of the major axes of NESEC’s vision, in its capacity as an advisory body contributing to the formulation and evaluation of public policies designed to ensure a lasting balance between economic growth, social progress and environmental preservation, in accordance with Algeria’s national objectives and international commitments.
