In commemoration of World Arabic Language Day, observed annually on 18 December, and at the kind invitation of Mr. Mohamed Sghir Saâdaoui, Minister of National Education, Professor Mohamed Boukhari, President of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council, attended the celebratory event held on Monday, 29 December 2025 at the Army’s National Circle in Aïn Naâdja.

The ceremony honored students who achieved national distinction in a range of educational events and competitions organized across the three levels of schooling and in various creative fields. Among these was the international competition “The Month of the Arabic Language,” launched by the League of Arab States in collaboration with the International Council for the Arabic Language, under the slogan “Investing in the Minds of Youth and Future Pioneers.”

These initiatives, together with other competitions organized in partnership with the Constitutional Court, the People’s National Assembly, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, the Ministry of Environment and Quality of Life and other national institutions, aim to foster cultural diversity among young people, deepen scientific knowledge and strengthen national belonging and identity.

The ceremony was attended by government members and senior officials from various state agencies and institutions, as well as representatives of central and local administration, social partners (trade unions and parent associations), inspectors and teachers and the award-winning students and their parents.

The event also honored members from the National Committee who supervised the evaluation and selection of the students’ work (inspectors and teachers), in recognition of their pedagogical and scholarly efforts. It underscored the central role of teachers and parents as essential partners in guiding students and supporting their pursuit of excellence.
