At the invitation of Mr. Zohir Ballou, Minister of Culture and Arts, the President of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council, Professor Mohamed Boukhari, participated on the 8th of September 2025 in the opening ceremony of the training workshop dedicated to the preliminary assessment of World Heritage nomination proposals for African regions and Arab countries. The event was held at the Moufdi Zakaria Palace of Culture.

The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Arts in coordination with the African World Heritage Fund (AWHF).

This participation reflects the Council’s unwavering commitment to actively contributing to efforts aimed at preserving national heritage and enhancing the value of Algeria’s historical and cultural sites. It is driven by the deep conviction that heritage constitutes a fundamental pillar of national identity and a decisive factor in achieving sustainable development.
