Professor Mohamed BOUKHARI, President of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (NESEC), chaired the official installation ceremony on Tuesday, 4 November 2025, in the presence of all senior staff, appointing Mr Aïssa MEFEDJEKH as Secretary-General of the Council, succeeding Mr Fateh SAHEL.

In his address, the NESEC President welcomed the new Secretary-General and extended his best wishes for every success in the performance of his new responsibilities in service of the institution. He also expressed his appreciation to the outgoing Secretary-General for his sustained efforts and dedication throughout his tenure, and wished him continued success in the next stage of his professional career.
