As part of its commitment to evidence-based decision-making grounded in updated scientific data, the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (NESEC) signed a framework cooperation agreement with the Algerian Space Agency on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the NESEC headquarters, in the presence of officials and executives from both institutions.

This agreement establishes a joint organizational reference framework aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two entities in studies, scientific research and the exchange of expertise and skills, thereby advancing national development goals and supporting the modernization of public institutions.

The primary objective of the agreement is to define the principles, goals and implementation mechanisms for joint research initiatives. Key focus areas include modernizing technological and knowledge-management systems, translating research output into practical applications, conducting joint studies, and fostering platforms for exchange and consultation among experts and researchers to open new horizons for growth and cooperation.

Additionally, the agreement stipulates the introduction of specialized training programs designed to build technical capacity and support the evaluation of priority public policies, ensuring an effective response to the country’s current and future development challenges.
