At the invitation of the Secretary-General of the High Commission for Amazighity (HCA), Mr. Si El Hachemi ASSAD, and as part of the institution’s 30th anniversary celebrations, Professor Mohamed BOUKHARI, President of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (NESEC), participated on Tuesday, 27 May 2025, at the National Army Circle in Beni Messous. The event was entitled: "The Promotion of Amazighity within the Framework of Identity Security in Algeria: Context, Concepts and Socio-Cognitive and Institutional Implications."

This scientific meeting brought together prominent national figures, including institutional representatives, renowned experts in Amazigh linguistics, academics and researchers specializing in language, linguistics and the broader field of language in general. The NESEC President participation underscores the importance that national institutions attach to the preservation and promotion of Amazigh heritage in contemporary Algeria.

It is noteworthy that the High Commission for Amazighity, created in 1995, is the reference institution for the promotion of the Amazigh language and culture in Algeria.
