On Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, at the Council’s headquarters, Professor Mohamed Boukhari, President of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (NESEC), welcomed Mr Kamel Braham, Resident Representative of the World Bank in Algeria. This meeting formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions.

The working meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to review the current state of collaboration and explore ways to consolidate it further. They also examined a series of proposals aimed at opening new perspectives for future cooperation, aligned with Algeria’s economic, social and environmental development priorities.

Both sides expressed their full satisfaction with the existing level of cooperation and reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthen and deepen this mutually beneficial collaboration, in service of the country’s development priorities.
